Installation and Safety Instructions:
1. Static Precaution: Touch metal surface or wash and dry hands to avoid static. Rubber gloves or finger cots can also help.
2. Power Off: Turn off computer, disconnect all cables, and remove the battery if using a laptop (refer to your computer’s manual).
3. Locate Slot: Remove the case and battery (for laptops), then locate the M.2 2280 slot in the manual. Ensure SSD matches the correct PCIe slot version (e.g., PCIe 3.0 SSD in a PCIe 3.0 slot).
4. Install SSD: Insert the SSD into the M.2 slot, secure it with the screw (avoid overtightening), and reinstall the case cover or battery.
5. Initialization: A new SSD is uninitialized and requires initialization and formatting via Disk Management before use. SSD come with NO operating system—please install one if needed.
